Is this better than a particle separator? Yes. With the filter there is no requirement for bleed air, TOT drops. There is less power loss and better filtration efficiency.

Is this better than a sand filter? Yes. A sand filter, IPS, and EAPS are all various types of particle separators.

How do you clean the filter element and how long does it take? To clean the filter element you simply apply a non-diluted soap, allow it to soak and rinse it with water. The time required for cleaning depends on quantity and type of dirt you've trapped. Cleaning and rinsing takes approximately one hour. Drying time depends on your local weather conditions. See the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness for your product for specific cleaning instructions.

What happens if I over oil the filter element? If you over oil the filter element, you'll need to re-clean and oil it again.

What's the difference between the red tacking oil you used to supply and the blue oil you supply now? The blue oil shipping now has been tinted to distinguish it from hydraulic fluid. It has the same part number and formulation as the old red oil. When ordering new fluid you will receive the new blue oil as we are no longer shipping the red oil.

What is the part number for the S-76 A+/A++/C/C+ replacement element set? P/N:1076K20-1 consists of 2 x Main Element, P/N: 1076A2-1 and 2 x Front Element, P/N: 1076A4-3.

My bypass door actuator is no longer operating, what are my options? Please reference Service Information Letter SIL.FDC.ALL.0012.
